A Tribute to the INSIDE RUNNING podcast

September 2018 became the month of PB's.
First, the marathon-PB of 2.45 in the running-festival of Oslo

http://trippeltherkelsen.blogspot.com/2018/09/oslo-maraton-2018-39-km-i-ryggen-pa-nm.html

Bib 40522, approx 12 km away from a new PB

..and then, a new monthly distance record.
278 km's.
Erasing the previous record of March 2017 by 11 km's.
Still not a distance that come close to the fast guys that really run and bags 150-200 k's per week, but a PB is a PB.

19 days of running.
1 marathon.
2 long-runs in marathon-pace.
1 medium-long run with threshold-intervals.
1 hill-run with 545 metres of climbing in one long threshold-effort.
4 easy long-runs.
5 commuting-type runs.
1 speed-session at the threadmill.
4 shorter, easy runs.

Sorry for the boring statistics.
This post was all about the tribute.
A tribute to a newly experienced romance, a romance that has made even the 5 am morning commuting-runs easy
A romance that has made the running-shoes scream for attention, wanting to go outside to run...and to LISTEN.
A romance that is named the INSIDE RUNNING podcast.

The podcast is hosted by Brady, Julian and Bradley, all three being sub 2.20 marathoners from Australia, sharing their love, knowledge, passion and enthusiasm of the world of running.
I just love it.
My romance started in August, but I had to start with episode 1 off course, going back 18 months in time in the lives of these Australians.
It was 'love at first sight' and during my September runs I have now arrived at episode #18, meaning I still have a big library of approx 30 episodes just waiting in my podcast library.
Who knows - maybe these guys can help me set another distance-record in the months to come?

I know for a fact that I just can't wait to insert the head phones on my next run to hear more about the Lake Biwa Marathon in which Bradley conquered the Inside Running record.
Especially, I'm really looking forward to hear Julians response
(I have cheated...I know that it wasn't only Kipchoge that ran at a breathtaking pace in Berlin in september 2018).

I recommend the podcast to all of you.
If you want entertainment and advice, inspiration and passion, all wrapped into one big box of nerdy running-excitement, go into iTunes and download the Inside running podcast today.

To Brady, Julian and Bradley, thanks for all the inspiration so far and good luck on your future running-path.
Cheers from a weekend warrior at the other side of the globe.
